It’s All or Nothing and It Still Takes the Fire!
Brother Jonathan Blotto preached a message that you need to get desperate in living for God. His text was Matthew 11:12: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. We are in a war, a spiritual war. Don’t get tired of the boundaries, think about what you can do. It’s not difficult with the Holy Ghost. You need to fight the good fight of faith. It’s a good fight, it’s the best thing. Church is the best thing, living holy is the best thing, and living for God is the best thing.
The second night of youth convention we received another anointed message from Brother Jonathan Blotto, taking us from the burning bush of Moses to the Upper Room experience. His text was from Exodus 3:1-5 and Matthew 3:11-12. Fire is a living, breathing, source of light and heat. Having the right ingredients makes a fire. In Acts chapter 2, the right ingredients were combined on the day of Pentecost. Prayer in faith is the kindling or fuel source, then the breath of the Spirit is the wind that blew or oxygen, and the heat source is the Holy Ghost explosion. The Holy Ghost is still burning today. God uses fire to purify and to change people. An encounter with God burns out the desires of the world!
After the final night of Youth Convention, the youth had a lock-in at the school gym down the road with games including basketball, volleyball, and several others activities. This was a wonderful Youth Convention that has left a lasting impact among our youth groups!
